Old World Lithics at MUN

Have you ever seen a spear point made by a Neandertal?  Or a hand axe that is hundreds of thousands year old?  Did you know that you can see stone tools from the Upper, Middle, and Lower Palaeolithic on public display right here in St. John's?  They're exhibited in a cabinet in the Queen's College Great Hall on the MUN campus, alongside other displays dedicated to sites and material culture from this Province and abroad. The Archaeology Department at Memorial University of Newfoundland has a small exhibit displaying flint artifacts on permanent loan from the Royal Ontario Museum.
